A work at home job for moms may be easier to find than you think. The truth is that a work at home job for moms is just like any other job. To land one, it takes research, persistence, and a good amount of job search savvy.
So, what’s the catch then? The catch is that many employers want to advertise work at home jobs for moms. Why? In this competitive job market we’re facing now, you would think that companies would see the benefits of hiring home-based career moms or those who prefer work at home jobs. And believe it or not, they do. They just don’t advertise their positions. The reason is that when they do, they are inundated with responses from applicants who do not have the necessary skills to handle such a job.
Face it. What company really wants 10,000 applicants for a single position? Who wants to sort through all that muck? There seems to be a rumor persisting that the desire to work at home is somehow enough to qualify one to perform a job. This alone turned employers off to posting ads about work at home jobs for moms for all the world to see.
And so, with that said, you can see how important it is to maintain your hold on reality when applying for work at home jobs for moms. When searching for work at home jobs for moms, think of it as a traditional job search in that you still need to research, be disciplined in submitting resumes, and be a bit discriminating in your choices. When you search, bear in mind that many companies are in a field where work at home jobs for moms might be encouraged or even wanted. The only thing is that they don’t post the fact that are quite partial to telecommuting or work at home jobs for moms. It is therefore up to you to step in and test the waters.
If you already have a job but feel like there is a possibility for a work at home job at your company, you can consider that option. Look at your job position first and consider if it is appropriate for you to do the same work from your home.
If you want an external search for work at home jobs for moms, you can check out several sites that cater to telecommuters. There are several websites that list companies which are telecommute-friendly. You can post your resumes in these sites and wait for the companies to contact you. Highly developed skills and credible experience is usually the requirement in order for you to get listed as a candidate for a work at home job.

Entrepreneurs are simply businesspeople. Some people may think that it’s really easy to become an entrepreneur, but they are very wrong. You see, there’s more to just being called an entrepreneur. In fact, many studies are conducted by some experts to uncover the traits possessed by successful entrepreneurs.
What makes a successful entrepreneur?
There are many factors that help in making an entrepreneur like qualities, education, skills, and many others. There is however one thing that you shouldn’t disregard if you want to become a successful entrepreneur. Mindset plays a very important role in the success of businesspeople.
Without it, you will definitely find it hard to succeed in whichever business endeavor you take. To be one of the successful entrepreneurs, you must have the qualities needed to become one.
Entrepreneurs are often identified with how they look and think about things. According to many experts who studied various entrepreneurs, if you can think like an entrepreneur you have a high chance of succeeding in any form of business.
Successful entrepreneurs are positive thinkers. They always think that they can do everything. Confidence is one trait that you need to become an entrepreneur. You must have this trait as early as possible but don’t worry if you’re not that confident yet because you can still develop that just in time before you get involved in any business.
You must also be able to set your vision straight and look at certain situations differently. For ordinary individuals, problems are considered obstacles but for many entrepreneurs, these are challenges. Aside from being a positive thinker, you must have strong belief in your objectives. If you’re confident enough, you can think straight at all times and you can set achievable objectives.
The business process is full of risks and if you don’t have the qualities of an entrepreneur, you will easily give in to such problems and obstacles. Being a risk taker is a very good trait of an entrepreneur. They are not afraid to be outside the so-called safety zone. To succeed in any business undertaking, one must not be afraid of these risks.
However, you don’t take risks blindly; you must be able to calculate them. By properly calculating the risks, you can determine if the risks are worth taking or not. If you think that by taking the risk you will gain more for the business, don’t be afraid to accept it. If you don’t put one of your foot forward, your business will not go anywhere.
Everything does not end in thinking alone. If you simply think and think, you will not achieve anything. But if you think and act, you will certainly reach the peak of success. Action is truly needed to put all your thoughts to action. You must be able to come up with well-intentioned objectives and your actions should be focused.
Now you know that the mindset of the individual is very important in order to become one of the successful entrepreneurs. If you think that you don’t possess the proper mindset, you must learn to develop it as soon as possible especially if you want to handle a business in the future.
By exerting some effort to develop your mindset, you can succeed. Being an entrepreneur is not that hard especially if you possess the right qualities, skills, and most specially – the proper mindset.
How do I expand my mind?
- Mentors are the looking glass into your future, if you follow the plan.
- Be around those who are so successful that you feel uncomfortable in their presence and whose visions are bigger than yours.
- Books and tapes awake you to possibilities.
- Environment – you will never grow beyond your environment.
- Daily visits to your future – people who lack motivation have not seen the potential of their future!
Your Promised Land has a program to help you develop an entrepreneurs mindset.

Starting your own internet home business can be a very fulfilling experience. It offers many new and exciting challenges, with the hopes of providing financial security for you and your family. To this end, a home business also requires a serious commitment and can easily consume a large portion of your time if you don't plan properly.
While searching the internet for business opportunities, you've undoubtedly encountered claims of how working only a few hours per week can result in a successful home business. Although it is true that after your business is established you could potentially devote less time towards it, this is not normally the case in the beginning.
If you're new to internet marketing or the home business industry, you should initially plan on spending at least 2-3 hours per day researching your products and developing your website. You should try committing even more time if you're not working a day job or have other obligations prohibiting you from doing so.
Believe it or not, one trap to avoid is spending too much time on your business It's very easy to become immersed in your business because there is always something to do–a new product to review, updating your website, responding to emails, etc. Before you know it, you won't have time for anything else.
This can be especially problematic when you have a family. For many of us, the benefit of spending more quality time with our family was the reason we started our home business to begin with! Because so many new home business owners struggle between spending time with their families while trying to get their business off the ground, I offer the following tips.
1. Take one entire day off per week. Yes, this means NO WORK. Spend time with your family and friends and as far away from your business as possible. Believe me, the business won't go anywhere. Plus, the day off will help to alleviate burn out. If you've worked more hours than usual in a particular week, take two days off.
2. Set aside 1-2 hours every evening for family time. From 5:30-7:00, for example, you could have dinner with the family, help the kids with their homework and squeeze in time for walking the dog. If possible, try to choose this same time everyday. A structured schedule will allow you to better plan your time.
3. Stop working at a specific time every evening and stick to it. For example, you can turn off your computer every night at 10:00 p.m. You can use this time to catch up on the news and tend to other personal matters. This is also your time to relax and unwind from a hard day's work.
Learning to manage your time is critical to a successful business and living a full and happy life. There's nothing wrong with being dedicated to your business, but your family should be your first commitment. Make time for your spouse, children, parents and friends now, because before you know it, you'll be wondering where the time went.

Get the turkey; check the Black Friday ads; make the Christmas card list; start shopping; put up the decorations; attend school concerts; make cookies; make fudge; make school party goody bags; get a gift to pass; send out the cards; pick out the tree; replace the bulbs; hang the outside lights; go to the office party; more shopping; assemble presents; wrap presents ….
Busy moms far and wide will tell you it's the same each year. Every year you decide that next year won't be as hectic – yet somehow it always is. This year vow to find some time for yourself during the busy and stressful holiday season.
We've all heard it before: if you keep doing what you've been doing, you will keep getting what you have been getting. You can look to find that time all month long. However you will not find some time for yourself unless you make some time for yourself.
Make is an action verb meaning to cause to happen to or be experienced by someone. If you are just going about the necessities of the holiday season aimlessly hoping for a few spare moments of solitude, you will not find that time.
Right now, before the weeks close in on the blessed event, turn a new leaf. You have to consciously decide upon and then commit to following your action plan. Start with your calendar. If you're a mom, you have a calendar of some form. Decide now if you want 15 minutes daily of nothing or one whole afternoon weekly of nothing.
It's not a new idea to schedule some time to yourself. What may be new is that you are actually going to write – in pen – the word "Nothing" each week (or day) on your calendar. You must agree to treat that time as if it was an orthodontist appointment. You will not schedule anything else in that time frame.
Mom's taxi service generally puts on a few miles. Vow to turn off your cell phone while you are traveling in the car. If you don't feel comfortable doing that, in case the children need to reach you then vow not to answer it. And that means do not make phone calls either.
"But… but… I'm so busy. I have to make those calls!" Did you know that studies have been conducted by zoologists regarding animals and downtime? If the animals are left out in the public eye for more than six days they become agitated. Each week, zookeepers pull the animals inside for a day of rest and relaxation.
If the lions, tigers and bears need some downtime without stimulation, doesn't it stand to reason that Homo sapiens do too? Do you find yourself getting a little agitated if you are left out in the public eye too long to deal with all the demands placed on a busy mom?
Your body was created to need downtime. Still not convinced? Consider the workplace production studies. Some employees are pushing for four 10-hour days instead of five eight hour days. However the studies show that productivity declines significantly after eight hours of working. They may be present for ten hours but only fully productive for eight. All your madness isn't really giving you productivity.
Perhaps you're hoping for some magical tips on how to find more time for yourself. You want someone to tell you that if you follow steps 1, 2 and 3 this holiday season will be so much more relaxed than you were last year.
All you really need is step one – make a conscious effort that you will make time and that you will not allow outside influences to interfere with your very much needed time to yourself.
You are only as busy and harried as you allow yourself to be. It is within your span of control to enjoy the busy weeks of the holiday season.
Dr. Paul Pearsall said it best in his book, Toxic Success: How to Stop Striving and Start Thriving, "The work will wait while you watch the rainbow. The rainbow won't wait while you work.”

Especially when you are your own boss.
It's easy to break agreements. It is especially easy to blow off agreements when you feel overwhelmed and overworked.
After all:
You have way more work to do than time to do it in.
You keep putting off important tasks in order to put out fires.
You don't have the information you need to complete the task at hand.
You have a large stack of business cards you collected while networking.
You have no idea how to prioritize the multiple tasks you face every day.
One form of self-discipline to solve this common dilemma is to commit to ONLY MAKE AGREEMENTS THAT YOU ARE WILLING AND INTEND TO KEEP!
Just doing this can keep you out of lots of trouble.
1. It means you must stop automatically agreeing to do things.
2. Instead, you must take time to think through any agreement you make.
3. Don't say "yes," say "MAYBE." Then say, "I will let you know in (15 minutes, 24 hours, or ??) after I check (the availability, my schedule, etc.) This time agreement is one you must keep.
4. Think about your priorities and resources, including time, energy, and money, before you decide whether to make the agreement.
5. Make your decision. It should be yes, no or an alternate proposition that takes what you need into account.
6. Communicate your decision within the agreed time period.
7. Now, make an agreement you are definitely willing to keep.
8. Keep whatever agreement you make.
9. If you encounter something that makes it impossible to keep your agreement, don't wait. Communicate about the need to change your agreement at the earliest possible opportunity.
10. Renegotiate a new agreement, repeating your original decision-making process.
When you think through your agreements BEFORE you make them, it becomes much easier to stay on target, follow through and achieve success.

The job of being a housewife usually includes caring for the children, the house, and the finances. While your counterpart provides the money, you have to stay at home and make sure the money is used wisely.
Everyone is aware that running the house is like running a business: it is no easy job. It should not be taken for granted; managing household finances takes a lot of time and effort.

The first rule of personal finance is to avoid ceding control of your finances to anyone. They are your responsibility; and the minute you let go of the control reins, you will find yourself with a number of extra problems.
Marriage is one of these institutions that can make us give the reins over to our spouse. If one person in the relationship is good with handling money, then all the financial responsibility automatically falls onto them. However, this leaves the other member extremely vulnerable if his spouse falls ill or dies.

The sage Zenrin once said "If you wish to know the road up the mountain, ask the person who goes back and forth on it."
Sound advice, but are you following it?
If you're like most people, probably not. So who's advice do you listen to?
** Your next door neighbor
** Your barber or hairdresser
** Your mechanic
The list is endless. You get excited about starting your own business and the doom and gloom crowd takes pleasure in stomping on your dreams.
Before you listen to them, ask yourself one question. Have they been where you want to go?
Probably not.
So who's advice should you listen to? The men and women who've traveled the mountain.
One man who travelled the mountain and amassed a fortune in the process, was J. Paul Getty.
In his autobiography Getty lists his 10 rules for creating wealth.
What do you think was Mr. Getty's number one rule for getting rich?
You must have your own business. He didn't say get a good job.
The same skills you use to make money for your boss, could be better applied to creating wealth for you.
There's an old cartoon that brings the point home even clearer.
A father is asking his son, "Wow, wouldn't you love to be a football player and make all that money?"
The little boy smiles and says, "Daddy, I'd rather be the guy that can afford to pay the whole team."
The next time you're excited, keep your own council and remember the words of Ben Franklin.
"Keep Thy Shop and Thy Shop Will Keep Thee."
Dare to dream. Be your own boss.
